In March, DMU launched its first Campus Collective on the topic of sustainability. Sustainability and climate change are one of the biggest challenges facing humanity and DMU is committed to be being part of the conversation to facilitate change.
The events, workshops and discussions as part of the Collective will bring together our diverse DMU staff and student community to learn from one another, share knowledge and take action.
On Tuesday 14 May from midday–1.30pm, we have arranged a ‘lunch-and-learn’ event in the SDG Hub, Heritage House 2.05. This will provide an overview of the projects and activities you can already get involved in and to share ideas to inform new projects, workstreams or initiatives.
If you want to come to the event, please email dmusdg16@dmu.ac.uk. A buffet lunch will be provided.
The SDG Hub is on the second floor of Heritage House, next to the Edith Murphy Building. Go to the campus map or watch our video below for directions.
Keep up with Campus Collectives
We look forward to seeing you support our sustainability topic, whether you’re eager to dive in headfirst or prefer to dip your toes in gradually, there’s a place for everyone in Campus Collectives.
Also, look out for future Campus Collective topics, where you can join discussions, attend events or contribute ideas on your own terms. This way you can meet new people across campus but also share ideas and learn about a topic that interests you.
Even if you can’t make an event, please contact us via campus.collectives@dmu.ac.uk to join the movement, explore new resources and keep the discussion going.
