At ̨ÍåÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ (DMU) our global ethos is founded on excellence: we engage in high-quality and sustainable international activities.
The Global Partnerships Unit (GPU) was set up in October 2017 to engage with international partners in pursuit of opportunities for in-country delivery of academic awards and progression arrangements. DMU has a long history of successful delivery of Transnational Education (TNE) since 1993 – both progression and collaborative delivery developed by all faculties. This early focus established a number of long standing partnerships which have grown over time and which form the majority of DMU Global Partnerships portfolio.
There are currently over 10,000 students now studying for a DMU award in places as far as Denmark, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines. In recent years we have also established strategic partnerships offering a range of dual awards in Malaysia and China and campus operations are now well established in Khazakstan and Dubai with Cambodia due to launch in September 2024 as part of our strategic approach to grow TransNational Education (TNE). In addition to these partnerships, DMU has Progression/Articulation agreements with over 100 institutions across the world.
We seek partnerships with other outstanding universities, defined by global connectedness, a distinctive student experience exceeding the classroom boundaries, and an unwavering determination to promote and contribute to the public and global good. Our community of scholars and students, converging on campus from more than 140 countries, is testament today to our character and excellence. GPU builds on this strategy through collaborations with like-minded institutions around the world to offer students the opportunity to fulfill their goals wherever they may be.
Our current goal is to develop further innovative TNE partnerships in key countries to confirm DMU as a truly global university.
Our TNE partnerships are not limited to overseas teaching: all areas of the university can become involved in adding to the diversity of collaborative engagement; from research to travel to music and volunteering there are no limits to what can be achieved.
