Graduations

After careful and lengthy consideration of multiple factors, including the Government’s four-step roadmap out of lockdown and ongoing uncertainty around how mass events might be able to operate safely in the summer months, the university, like many other universities, has now taken the difficult decision to delay July 2021 graduation ceremonies until the autumn at the earliest.

 Your Degree Certificate

Due to the delay in your graduation ceremonies, all certificates will be posted to the permanent address held on your student record. You must therefore make sure this record is up-to-date by checking your My Personal Details tile via MyDMU.

In order to keep our staff safe, we have adapted our working environment and this will regrettably extend our usual service levels to students as we are working with reduced staff capacity and everything is taking longer. We ask that you bear with us and be patient during this time but please do make sure your permanent address is correct.

Your Higher Education Achievement Report

For those students receiving their final award outcome, your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) will be available to view and share from Monday 26 July. The interim HEAR for progressing students will also be available from this date.

The HEAR is our official academic transcript of your results along with your degree certificate. It’s an excellent way to showcase your employability as it captures the individual modules you have completed, prizes or awards you received and relevant activities you've done while at DMU. It also includes a simple summary of any official club or society positions held.

Eligible students will get an email saying that a new document is available from DMU in Digitary. Click on the link in the email and follow the instructions to see your report.
