Our DMUsport teams have been busy training to get ready for their biggest sporting event of the year —
It is the 20th year that ̨ÍåÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ (DMU) has gone up against the University of Leicester in a week of friendly rivalry and competition.
Varsity will be taking place from Thursday 19 March to Wednesday 25 March at venues across Leicester. Make sure to take a look at the fixtures and come along to support #TeamDMU!
Support #TeamDMU at the DMU Varsity launch
Join the DMUsport teams for a celebration and the chance to show your support before the first fixtures. The DMU launch event will take place from 12noon to 1pm at The Venue@DMU on Thursday 19 March.
At the launch you can collect your free Varsity t-shirt and listen to a talk from British Paralympic powerlifter, Ali Jawad, who competed at the Paralympic Games in 2012.

Varsity Joint Launch and Rugby Union Fixtures
The Varsity launch and first fixtures of the series will be taking place at the home of the Leicester Tigers at Welford Road Stadium, between 6 and 10pm on Thursday 19 March.
You can watch our women’s and men’s rugby union teams kick off the series and see performances from DMU and University of Leicester societies. There will also be a special edition of the Leicester Tigers Big Boot Challenge which is not one to miss.
Tickets cost £6 and are available for DMU staff, students and the general public. You can purchase tickets on the
Attendance at all other Varsity fixtures is free for DMU staff and students, and the general public.
Fiona Dick, Head of Sport at DMU, said: “I’m excited for Varsity 2020. DMU students and coaches have put in a staggering 3500 hours of training leading to this point.
"Our teams have had a great season in BUCS and other competitions with a large number gaining promotion and having cup run success.
“Everyone at DMUsport is looking forward to the friendly rivalry with UoL, with Varsity providing a wonderful platform for all of the DMU community to enjoy a spectacle of student sport.
“We wish all participants the best of luck, enjoy the experience and take pride in their achievements, leave everything on the pitch, court, field. Go #TeamDMU!”
