Pro Vice-Chancellor International meets new director of the Confucius Institute


On the afternoon of May 9th, Mr Simon Bradbury, Pro Vice-Chancellor International of ̨ÍåÂãÁÄÖ±²¥, and Professor Wei Gu, the new director of the Confucius Institute(CI), held introduction meeting in the library of CI. They engaged in friendly exchanges regarding the future development of the Confucius Institute.

During the meeting, Professor Gu first expressed her gratitude to the relevant departments of the ̨ÍåÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ for their long-term support and help, and then introduced the latest progress of Mandarin teaching and cultural activities. Mr Bradbury highly appreciated the contributions made by the CI teachers and their efforts in serving the students and local community. Later, they discussed the future development of Confucius Institute, especially the joint Degree Show and the visit of the delegation from USTB in June.

Finally, Professor Gu presented Mr Bradbury with an exquisite gift on behalf of the Confucius Institute and took a group photo with him. This meeting enhanced the friendship between the two universities, and laid a solid foundation for the future development of the Confucius Institute.
