Queen of My Dreams is a poignant and thought-provoking film that explores themes of identity, family, and self-discovery. The story follows a young woman of South Asian descent as she navigates the complexities of growing up in a multicultural environment while grappling with her relationship to her mother’s traditional values. Following the screening, we will host a Q&A session centred around the intersectionality of identity and race, as well as the profound impact of fear and trauma on relationships. The discussion will explore how the characters in Queen of My Dreams confront their identities in relation to the complexities of race, culture, and generational trauma.
