Personal profile

Scott is currently completing his doctoral research in greening China’s political economy in conjunction with Liaoning University, China. He is particularly interested in how theoretical/ideological assumptions manifest in trade deals between the EU and China, and ecological politics more generally. In addition, he is interested in reformation vs. transformation attempts to reconcile political economy and environmental crises, and how these are communicated. Scott also maintains an active interest in the politics of cyberspace and the challenges of ‘digitising’ political theory, particularly in the area of identity politics.
